Fund for Women of the Southern Tier (FFW) is happy to present the Holiday Stroll on Market Street again this year. This seasonal event will take place Thursday, December 7th, 4 pm – 8 pm on Market Street in Corning.
The Fund for Women Holiday Stroll is an annual favorite of donors, friends, and volunteers and returns with eight local businesses taking part to help support girls and women in need.
Market Street businesses participating in this year’s FFW Holiday Stroll include Connors Mercantile, Pure Design, Pip’s Boutique, Pink Bellini, Heathered Grey Home & Gifts, Rabbit Row Yarns and Haberdashery, Vitrix Hot Glass Studio, and Nickel’s Pit BBQ.
“We are thrilled to offer this special evening, again, for the folks in our community that allows them to cross items off their holiday lists while ‘shopping with a purpose’. We appreciate being able to partner up with local merchants who have generously offered to donate a percentage of sales from the evening or a financial contribution to FFW to support our ongoing mission,” says Amy Truxon, President of the Board of Directors for FFW. “We love being able to have an event that supports our local businesses, brings our community together, and helps empower girls and women at the same time.”
For the first time this year, shoppers will be able to pick up a FFW passport at one of the participating merchants during the event, get it stamped by at least four of the businesses, and then drop it off to be entered for a chance to win one of four $25 Corning Gaffer District gift certificates.
Donations from the event will go towards funding FFW grants to individuals and nonprofit organizations in the Southern Tier in the areas of education, health, and economic self-sufficiency.
FFW volunteers will be at each participating location to share what FFW does and encourage those interested in learning more to get involved and volunteer.
