Fund for Women is pleased to open the 2020 Annual Grant awards process!

Each year, FFW awards grants in two main categories.

Educational grants for girls and women interested in continuing their education beyond high school

Non-profit organization grants for groups that have missions and/or programs that are compatible with the FFW mission to help girls and women achieve economic self-sufficiency and realize life goals

Educational Grants

As part of the educational grants program, FFW offers two levels of support:

FFW Scholarship Grants –  valued at $2500 each, designed for girls and women with specific career goals and a path for achieving them, with preference for:

  • First generation college students
  • Non-traditional students/adult learners – 25 years or older
  • Women who seek a diploma certification for high demand job functions in Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and/or Yates counties at a technical school, college or university
  • Girls and women who have overcome a significant challenge in their lives

FFW Individual Grants – values at $500 each, designed for girls and women who may be experiencing difficulty keeping up with the financial demands that come with continuing their education

Non-profit Grants

For the Non-profit Grants, the organization or programs developed by the organization are eligible. From supporting educational endeavors for middle school girls, to providing funding for basic female staples for those in need, to addressing mental health concerns, as long as the organization or program is in line with empowering girls and women, the grant application will be considered.

The application deadline is MARCH 1.
